Government facility cleaning for municipal and public buildings

Public lobbies, offices, and restrooms kept clean for residents and staff, with your building's access, badging, and escort requirements built into the schedule from day one.

National Cleaning Group cleans municipal buildings, public offices, community facilities, and the common areas of courthouses. Your building's access rules are built into the schedule before the first night.

What we clean in public buildings

  • Public lobbies and entrances. Floors, entry glass, seating, information counters, elevators, and door hardware.
  • Public restrooms. Fixtures cleaned and disinfected, dispensers restocked, floors mopped. Busy restrooms can get daytime checks.
  • Offices and workstations. Trash and recycling, vacuuming, dusting of clear surfaces, and touchpoints.
  • Conference and hearing rooms. Tables, chairs, floors, and whiteboards reset for the next meeting.
  • Courthouse and municipal common areas. Corridors, waiting areas, stairwells, and public counters.
  • Break rooms and kitchenettes. Counters, sinks, appliance exteriors, and floors.
  • Libraries and community centers. Reading areas, meeting rooms, and activity spaces.

A scope that matches how the building works

A public lobby sees walk-in traffic all day. Staff floors may be quiet after 5 p.m. Some rooms hold records, and some open only with an escort. Each area is planned on its own terms:

  • Areas cleaned every night
  • Areas cleaned weekly or on a rotation
  • Areas cleaned only with an escort, and the time window for it
  • Areas that stay locked to the crew

Your facilities team, your security staff, and our crew all work from that same list.

Access, badging, and escort requirements

Some buildings require crew names in advance. Some issue badges or keys that are signed out and returned. Some require escorts in certain areas or after certain hours. We collect those requirements up front and plan staffing around them. If one affects the price, such as escort time or a narrow cleaning window, it shows as its own line.

Nightly cleaning plus daytime coverage

The main clean happens after the building closes. For buildings with permit counters, courts, public meetings, or heavy visitor traffic, a day porter keeps restrooms stocked, lobby floors clean, and entrances in order during open hours. Porter coverage is priced by the hour, apart from the nightly program.

For staff floors, our office cleaning program covers workstations, private offices, and shared spaces on the frequency you choose.

Floors and touchpoints

Public lobbies and corridors take heavy foot traffic and weather from outside. Crews mop and vacuum on every visit, and periodic work such as scrubbing, recoating, and carpet extraction runs on the cycle each floor needs. See floor care for details.

Counters, railings, elevator buttons, and restroom fixtures are disinfected on every visit.

Responding to solicitations

If you are working from an RFP or formal solicitation, send it with the site list, square footage, required tasks and frequencies, insurance requirements, and target start date. We attend the site visit if one is offered and answer each required line. A certificate of insurance is available on request.

Consistency your staff can count on

Residents, elected officials, and employees see the building every day. Crews follow the same task list on every visit, supervisors inspect the work on a regular schedule, and your facilities team has a dedicated account manager. That person handles missed areas, schedule changes, and added work such as a public meeting that runs late or an event in the community room. Our crews are background-checked and trained, and the company is insured and bonded.

A portfolio such as a city hall, a public works office, and a library branch can run as one program with a separate task list for each site.

Questions facility managers ask

What types of government buildings do you clean?

Municipal buildings, city and county offices, public service centers, libraries, community centers, and the public areas and offices of courthouses. We scope each building by area, so a public lobby and a staff office floor each get the right frequency.

How do you handle badging, escorts, and crew lists?

Tell us your requirements and we build them into the schedule: crew names submitted in advance, notice for substitutes, escort windows, and key or badge control. All of it is settled before the start date.

Can you respond to a formal solicitation or RFP?

Yes. Send the solicitation with the site list, square footage, required frequencies, insurance requirements, and start date. We will walk the building if a site visit is offered and respond with a written quote.

Do you provide a day porter for busy public lobbies?

Yes. Buildings with public counters, permit offices, or courts often need restrooms, entrances, and lobby floors checked during open hours. Day porter hours are quoted as a separate line from the nightly clean.

What about secure rooms and records areas?

Rooms that stay locked to the crew are skipped. Rooms that can be cleaned only with an escort are scheduled for the window your staff provides. Both lists are agreed before the first night.
